Robredo, Pangilinan host ‘thanksgiving event’ for volunteers
VICE President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo and Sen. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan will host a gathering later on Friday to thank their volunteers in the presidential campaign.
“Tayo ang Liwanag” is scheduled at 5 p.m. at the Ateneo de Manila University in Quezon City. A mass and interfaith prayer will be held, followed by performances from various artists led by popular rock band Rivermaya.
Robredo and Pangilinan are expected to speak to their supporters.

“Everyone is welcome, you don’t need to be a student or staff of the Ateneo,” he added.
Robredo challenges Marcos to a debate
Based on the Commission on Election (Comelec) returns, Robredo is a far second from former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. in the presidential race with the count almost over.
US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping have congratulated Marcos and are hoping for stronger relations between the Philippines and their respective countries.
